How to play it
- High F is a forked fingering with a pinched thumb. From high E, lift your right middle finger (hole 5) and put your right ring finger down on hole 6.
- On a German recorder it's simpler: from high E, just lift your right middle finger. Set the chart to your recorder's fingering.
Why it squeaks or sounds wrong
- If you hear low F, the thumb is covering the whole hole: pinch it to open a small gap at the top.
- If it sounds like high E, hole 5 is still covered.
Free, in your browser: it listens as you play and shows which finger to fix.
